Description

As the Senior Database Engineer at the company, you’ll be responsible for databases running the company's core application stack. You'll work collaboratively with Dev, QE, and support teams to troubleshoot database, application, and performance-related issues and work towards resolution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of IT experience

  • Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.

  • Independently create and maintain Application schema upgrade scripts

  • Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data model.

  • Effectively manage day-to-day tasks in coordination with a team of developers and stakeholders to meet deliverables.

  • Strong programming capabilities in SQL and other DB technologies– Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Transactions, Data Flow.

  • Performance Optimization – Performance tuning, measurement, and capacity planning of Production Software solutions.

  • Experience in creating and implementing strategies for partitioning, archiving, and maturity models for applications.

  • Expertise in performing Backup & Recovery through RMAN/Data Pump utilities.

  • Experience in Oracle RAC Administration, ASM, Disaster Recovery Implementation.

  • Knowledge of Data Guard and Data Guard Broker configuration and maintenance.

  • Experience in Oracle engineered systems like Exadata.

  • Extensive experience in Golden Gate replication.

  • Ability to work under pressure - quick thinking and remaining calm during stressful situations.

  • Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends.

  • Good Communication skills.

  • Flexible to take on call to support production systems.

  • Able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

  • Good team player and assist peers.
